Unter der Leitung von Marie und Mathieu -Komponisten & Texter - nimmt die
Hoboken Division als Basis eine Kombination aus Garage Rock, Krautrock und Delta Blues und entwickelt ihre Musik auf dieser Grundlage ständig weiter, bis sie die Mystik der Mississipi-Musik mit der
Hypnose des Selbstmordes versöhnt.
Beeinflusst von RL Burnside und Velvet Underground sowie von den Kills oder Yeah Yeah Yeahs, die Band hat ihren einzigartigen und charakteristischen wilden Sound gefunden. Seit 2015 touren Hoboken Division in Frankreich und Europa und zeigen dabei die gleiche Leidenschaft und Lust auf die Underground Musikszene.
Ihr neues Opus, Psycholove, tendiert zu einem noch krautigeren Sound: Von Fuzz umhüllt, entsteht ein intensives und dennoch lichtdurchflutetes Album voller Psych-Momente, die eine ganz neue Welt in ihrer Musik eröffnet.
Die Shows von Hoboken Division spiegeln das Statement der Band für Authentizität sowie ihr Engagement für ihre Musik und Texte wider. Hoboken Division is laying the basis for a combination of garage rock, krautrock and delta blues, constantly evolving, reconciling the mysticism of the Mississipi music with the hypnotism of Suicide. As influenced by RL Burnside and the Velvet Underground as well as by the Kills or Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the band has been fiercely playing their unique and characteristic sound. They’ve been touring in France and in Europe since 2015, showing the same passion and eagerness for the undeground music scene. Their shows reflect their statement for authenticity and their commitment to their music and lyrics, bringing a rough, powerful outburst, driven by a warm voice launched on a highway of distortion.
